Andrew Shors, MD specializes in the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Shors returned to his home state of Montana after spending the first portion of his career in Seattle. He founded Highline Dermatology & Skin Cancer in 2020.
Born and raised in Cut Bank, MT, he received his medical education at the University of Washington medical school, where he graduated with honors and was chief resident of the dermatology residency. He is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs surgery) and has performed over 8,000 Mohs procedures.
He was a clinical associate professor at the University of Washington until 2020 and has published numerous research articles and continues to be invited to speak at national meetings.
Through his career, he has been elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, served as president of the Seattle Dermatologic Society, and was voted by his Seattle peers as one of the top doctors in the city. He has loved basketball since childhood, but now as the realities of aging set in, he and his wife Heidi spend most of their free time as spectators cheering on their three kids.
Lucy Ledyard, MD specializes in medical and surgical dermatology. She also has an expertise in pediatric dermatology. Dr. Ledyard grew up in Whitefish, and went to the University of Montana where she graduated with high honors. She eventually enrolled in the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious medical fraternity Alpha Omega Alpha.
She then completed her dermatology training at the University of Vermont as a board certified dermatologist. Dr. Ledyard joined Highline Dermatology & Skin Cancer in 2021 and since that time has been taking care of complex medical and pediatric patients.
In her free time she loves spending time in the outdoors skiing, and hiking with her German shepherd Summit.
Darrell Fader, MD specializes in Mohs surgery. He received his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine and finished his dermatology and Mohs training at the University of Michigan.
In 1995, he joined the University of Michigan Mohs faculty in the departments of Dermatology and Otolaryngology. He eventually relocated to Seattle and continues to instruct residents and medical students at the University of Washington. He has been a mentor to Dr. Shors, who recruited him to Montana.
Dr. Fader has authored or co-authored over 30 articles, abstracts, and letters in medical journals and contributed chapters in books on aspects of skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, and laser surgery.
He has delivered over 50 lectures on these subjects to local, national, and international audiences.
Dr. Fader is a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs surgery).
He continues to reside in Seattle but regularly works in Montana.
Ellen Franciosi, MD
Ellen Franciosi, MD specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about achieving natural cosmetic results and her expertise includes Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments for rosacea, facial redness and uneven skin tones.
Dr. Franciosi grew up in Westwood, Massachusetts and attended Dartmouth College for her undergraduate education. She completed her medical school training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School where she was a member of the prestigious medical fraternity Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Franciosi completed her dermatology residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts where she served as Chief Resident. She joined Highline Dermatology in August, 2025. She is passionate about the outdoors and loves to hike and snowboard.
Arthur Ide, MD specializes in medical dermatology including the detection and treatment of skin cancers. He has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating difficult rashes. Dr. Ide attended Dartmouth College where he raced on the Alpine Ski Team. He completed his medical school and residency training at the University of Minnesota and then practiced Dermatology for 34 years in Minneapolis.
He is board certified in Dermatology. He and his wife Lisa recently moved to Montana and are excited to join the community. They have 4 grown children who live on the East and West Coasts and who take every opportunity to visit Montana.
Denielle Kastella, PA-C specializes in medical dermatology. She attended the University of Oregon and received her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology. She went on to complete the University of Washington MEDEX PA program earning a Master of Clinical Health Services degree.
In her free time Denielle enjoys hunting with her husband, fishing, gardening and spending time on the water.
